What we keep, and why
Short version: we keep as little as possible, we never sell it, and there are no trackers on this site.
Last updated: October 21, 2026
What we collect
- Waitlist: your email, and what you trade if you tell us.
- Build requests: the name or handle, email, description and budget you send.
- Ask Fred: the question you type and the answer. Please don't put personal details in questions.
- Contact messages: your email and message.
- Abuse protection: a one-way scrambled code made from your IP address that changes every day. We never store your IP address itself, so we can't trace a code back to you.
Why
- To email you once when the desk opens, to reply to build requests and messages, and to answer or review questions.
- To limit free questions and stop spam and abuse.
How long we keep it
- Ask Fred questions and answers: up to 90 days, then deleted.
- Waitlist emails: until the desk launches or you ask us to delete them.
- Build requests and contact messages: up to 12 months, or sooner if you ask.
Who else touches it
- Cloudflare hosts the site and stores the data, and runs Turnstile, the bot check on our forms.
- Anthropic processes Ask Fred questions to write the answers.
- Nobody else. We don't sell or share your data, run ads, or use analytics trackers or tracking cookies.
Your choices
